Bullying

On this page you can find out ways to hopefully stop bullying and how to respond in different scenerios.

Bullying In Perryfields

At Perryfields we are not going to deny that there is bullying, it happens everywhere but the difference at Perryfields is that when we spot it we try to sort it out and eradicate it a.s.a.p. To make sure we keep both eyes open in the sense of bullying we have two dedicated teams; The Learning mentors and Peer mentors. There are 4 main learning mentors and at least 20 peer mentors. They specialise in helping people with any problems at school or to a certain extent, at home.

If you have a problem you simply visit the inclusion centre, ask for a learning/peer mentor and tell them. However if you don’t want anyone knowing then it will stay confidential UNLESS you are at risk or are doing something dangerous. Apart form those exceptions it will stay secret, although if you want them to tell someone for you they will.

Peer Mentors will also try and help you befriend people if you are struggling to do so yourself or keep an eye on you if you so wish.

You don’t have to go to someone in school however, there are a number of organisations happy to help you or for you just to talk to and ask advice…
